Capturing Light

“Cameras capture light and then in turn create the videos or pictures with that captured light. It’s my job, my passion in fact, to manage the cameras towards capturing the best light and then turn it into a very bright narrative arch in the edit suite.” – Nate

As a PR videographer, Nate literally lights up the room, yet, he does that in a way that exudes a quiet confidence mixed in with empathy for his subjects. Nate knows PR interviews are not easy, especially when lighting, sound kits, and multiple cameras are added. That’s where his core skills of quiet confidence and empathy are not only useful, they are critical.

It’s not preparation necessarily and in fact interview subjects get caught up in the jargon and talking points, missing the opportunity to be authentic. That’s where Nate comes in. A relaxed subject, led through a few comfortable, yet interesting questions, will yield the best interview every time. Nate knows through experience.

Making Magic

“Video allows companies and businesses to tell their story in an engaging way. Through video, you’re able to see and feel the emotions and story on screen. I really feel that it is my job to capture all that in the shoot and the subsequent edit.” – Nate

It’s in the edit suite, however, where Nate’s sorcery begins. Using the latest editing software and hardware, Nate takes the camera’s captured light and turns it into an impressive video asset that will yield engagement and link clicks in a subsequent GCAi digital campaign. The magic is really the right brew of technology and storytelling with audience expectations and dissemination platform requirements stirred in.

Editing for digital dissemination is a complex effort. Its objective is to yield measurable results in a world where audience opinions, supported by AI driven algorithms, matter most. Nate does this every day.

Practice Makes Perfect

When he does not have a camara in hand, he is putting his vintage Jeep Cherokee through its paces on some remote Class IV road or worse.
